Adrian Johansson – The lord of the light or the prince of the darkness.
Its is said that in universe there is only five percent light.
Here on earth we do not experience it this way.
The relationship between light and dark and what is happening in between has allways fascinated me, with the infinite change that occurs twenty four hours a day, forever infinity.
I capture these moments in these shifts, the contrasts, the game between light and dark, and the effects that emerge when colors change. Colossal urban environments like NYC or a Swedish wild nature inspire me, and the paintings often become a concideration, a melody, a silene or a feeling. A moment in a changed reality.
I always paint in oil and mostly on canvas .
The Artistic Mission:
Investigation and documentation of the structural changes, mostly created by the light. The relationship between light and darkness is a central issue in this project. In the end it´s a matter of to ”See”. To create (do) things with color. My paintings are a message for the beholder to ”See”. They are a meeting with the one who wants to share a common value (or common ground). They are a call to the one who is willing to experience (get) a feeling. Color is my medium. Art is to See.
